Weight Loss Without Drugs, Surgery, or Exercise!

What's the first thing you think of when contemplating a weight loss program? Due to popular TV shows, most people will answer "exercise." Lately, due to overblown billboard and radio advertising, you might have even said "surgery." Abdominal surgery for weight loss? How about self care and health care first? Put surgery and crisis care last on your list! If these were really the magic answers the advertisers wanted you to believe they are, then why don't they work for everyone?

Many people will simply not lose weight, or keep it off, even by adding vigorous exercise to their schedules spanning several weeks or months. Why? Is there an underlying problem like a metabolic imbalance? You might think that a slow thyroid could be the culprit, yet when your thyroid blood tests come out within normal range, you may be left with no answers.

Some people have a problem with excess weight because their body has been triggered into a functional "survival mode physiology." In "survival mode physiology," the body keeps wanting to store excess weight because its information-processing pathways are confused, and the whole body responds to food differently than normal. If the body reacts as if it were in a mode of survival - needing to save and store fat - then it is only doing so because that is what it would do in a real, desperately needed survival crisis: surviving perfectly, yet not in your best interests.

So what can be done about this unwanted fat? Instead of just trying to overcome the excess weight reaction by trying to bypass the body's own regulatory systems with drugs or surgery, we have to find the reason why it wants to react this way in the first place. Using drugs to force a solution, and bypass the body's natural regulation systems will ultimately fail because as soon as the intervention stops, the body will come right back to the way it was before the intervention. And abdominal surgery? Eating less of the same food you've always eaten because you might feel full sooner is not the answer to better health. In reality, it is just slow starvation, and starvation is never the best way to lose weight.

How Can You Know? The first thing that we must do is determine if your body is processing information as in a survival reaction. Then we must address the causes of that reaction. That way we can help the body's own regulatory systems to reset back to normal. No drugs or surgery are needed for this. Even where exercise has failed your attempts to loose weight before, this will work.

Case in point: an 18 year old male presented to me standing six feet six inches tall and weighing 330 pounds. He wanted to loose weight. With our unique testing methods we found that there were more than one reason why his body was functioning in survival mode physiology. As a holistic weight loss specialist, we (doctor working with the patient) addressed those causes and put him on a course of natural, nutritional supplements, chiropractic, and a modified eating program. Within 3 weeks he had safely lost sixteen pounds and two notches on his belt buckle (his pants were falling off)! He is on a course that will give him his desired results including better health.

Weight loss without drugs, bariatric surgery, or even exercise is something that can get you moving in the right direction when you are under the proper program for your individual needs. When you're ready for a proper exercise program, it is recommended. Until then, you can naturally lose weight while you're still looking for a knowledgable personal trainer.
