My own clinical experience has shown that at least 80% of chronic pain sufferers have delayed muscle reflexes. The reason that you've never heard of that before is because reflexes are usually measured for their amount, strength, or amplitude; not their reaction speed. Muscle reflexes that are delayed by a few milliseconds (thousanths of a second) can lead to widespread chronic pain within a timeframe of only 3 months to as much as 10 years down the road. This extremely important sign is virtually unknown in conventional approaches to chronic pain management and chronic pain relief. What if I have pain because of an injury? An injury can be the precipitating event in your life that leads you down the chronic pain cascade. The reason your pain started was precipitated by the injury. Yet, the reason why you still have pain after all this time (and treatments) is usually separate from the precipitating factor. If the injury caused a change in the structure of your body, we could say there is an exception to this rule. However, there is a general rule that your body is not following: after an injury there is a healing process that takes place. So why isn't this happening for you? The reason is that there is a natural innate healing potential in your body that has been turned off, blocked, diminished or delayed. After this precipitating event, your healing potential got turned off. How can you know if this is your reason? Our task is to clearly find what is holding back your healing potential. The injury itself should not be holding it back. The injury is just the precipitating event.
Delayed muscle reflexes - the key to understanding your body: These reflexes will show us that there is a measurable problem, what is wrong, and how to unblock your healing potential. The key is truly understanding what is going on in your body. We want to stop trying to chase away, or fight the symptoms. The key is not a cure from the outside, the key is to find your whole body cures from within. Your key is to find the right holistic specialist who is not looking to cover over your chronic pain, but instead to unblock your healing potential. Unblocking your healing potential will address the mechanism of why you still have your chronic pain. Unblocking your healing potential will allow your healing process to re-ignite within you, and set you free.
